Atrium Health, one of the most comprehensive public, not-for-profit healthcare systems in the nation, is actively recruiting an experienced Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Atrium Health Lincoln. Our facility is a rapidly growing community hospital with over 100 beds. The hospital is located in Lincolnton, NC, just northwest of Uptown Charlotte. This position will focus on treatment and management of patients with Asthma, COPD, Chronic cough, Interstitial Lung disease, tobacco cessation, early detection of lung cancer through lung cancer screening and incidental lung nodule programs. The APP will be expected to manage acute and chronic pulmonary diseases and is encouraged to practice at the top of their license. Essential functions: obtain a medical history, physical exam, document findings and prepare a plan of care in a timely manner including prescribing medications and ordering appropriate tests/procedures. Physical Requirements Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC, FNP board certification preferred based population served. Physician Assistant Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master's Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. |
