Molex is looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to promote a strong health and safety culture. Ensure compliance with governmental environmental and health regulations and management systems. Develop and recommend safety policies, programs and procedures for Lincoln campus. What You Will Do * Develop and recommend safety policies, programs and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. * Compile, generate, and file all required environmental reports. Assist in completion of customer environmental compliance reports. * Oversight of Worker's Compensation management and maintaining OSHA record keeping forms. * Develop employee and supervisory environmental, health and safety training programs. * Maintain facility Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management system. Review all incoming chemicals and materials for compliance with governmental regulations. * Review equipment received at the facility for EHS compliance. Provide input to Engineers and machine builders for EHS related items when developing new equipment to be used in the facility. * Provide monthly environmental health and safety statistics to management. * Actively support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and programs. * Understand, support and contribute to current Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. * Review existing, new, and proposed governmental standards and advise management on regulations affecting manufacturing operations. * Assist in review and facilitate a problem solving of EHS incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate reoccurrence. * Promote a strong health and safety culture through participating in company Safety Team meetings, activities and inspections. Act as a liaison to all team members to help with employee suggestions, issues or concerns. * Assist with the management of Hazardous Waste Streams. This includes profiling waste characterizations, scheduling pick-ups and shipping of hazardous materials. * Apply Principle Based Management (PBM) in role of Supervisor as well as stewardship, economic thinking, problem solving and other applicable concepts. Live and promote PBM Guiding Principles. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * BA or BS degree in Industrial Health and Safety or related degree program, OR 7+ years management experience within the EHS field in a manufacturing environment. * Minimum 5 years of management experience within the EHS field in a manufacturing environment. * Strong communication, presentation and computer skills * Sound decision making skills * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks * Ability to work well with others in team setting * Working knowledge of applicable legal regulations * Knowledge of Integrated Management System (EHS & Quality) * Ability to lift to 50 pounds What Will Put You Ahead * Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering * Advanced professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) * Experience in completing environmental reports * Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma principles * Knowledge and Experience with Principle Based Management (PBM) At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
