Job Overview
:


Support all Global Procurement activities required for New Product Development excellence. The main objective is to achieve the defined Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets. You will act as the Procurement representative on all assigned Global NPD/12V/PPV projects for your SBU. You will facilitate all of the Procurement activities related to the project. You will partner with Global Procurement to develop a Procurement strategy and utilize standard Global Procurement processes, tools and templates. You will align with global manufacturing strategy to ensure that the lowest manufacturing cost is achieved at production start-up.

Responsibilities:



  • Interact across the company on a cross functional, cross product basis to support Global NPD/12V/PPV projects excellence


  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timelines and target dates are met. This requires effectively managing communications between multiple cross-functions (such as engineering, operations, suppliers).


  • Demonstrable leadership and success in both regional and global Project Management experience is a MUST


  • Utilize global Procurement process, tools and commodity playbooks to develop a Procurement strategy and plan in accordance to the global manufacturing strategy to ensure that the lowest manufacturing cost is achieved at production start-up.


  • Leverage global supply capability for global consumption and localization/globalization of purchased components in emerging markets.


  • Support supplier development/rationalization efforts within SBU.


  • Assure acceptable quality levels and continuity of supply for all new components through leadership of supplier management and supplier quality programs.


  • Work closely with global operations facilities to achieve operational objectives - Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC).


  • Build strong, value added relationship with suppliers, internal customers, and cross functional departments.


  • Manage strategic alignment with both the CM and SDE teams for source identification, selection and approval. Support BOS standard work, PFEP, ESWP, IRPDP and IRPPM initiatives.


  • Provide guidance and direction in applying world class Procurement processes - supplier selection, total cost of ownership, cost modeling, cost tracking, and contract negotiations.


  • Lead a strong customer focus, both internally and externally.


  • Interface with Global Supply Chain Leaders to ensure that supplier selection and development during Global NPD/12V/PPV projects are in line with corporate strategies while balancing business unit needs in support of the customer.


  • Drive early supplier involvement and aid in DFSS and DFMEA efforts with critical suppliers.


  • Drive initiatives in alignment with Procurement strategy to achieve program cost targets including:


      • diligent project cost tracking


      • supplier negotiations






  • Develop and track the following project deliverables:


      • development schedule


      • product cost including material, tooling costs, working capital (lead-time reduction and inventory management)


      • quality


      • supplier innovation


      • recurring revenue


      • component reuse to further improving the financial results









Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering or related field.


  • 5 to 7 years' experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Sourcing or related.



  • Strong Analytic experience


  • Microsoft Project Expertise


  • Experience with large complex cross functional projects


  • Demonstrable leadership and success in both regional and global Project Management experience is a MUST



  • Ability to travel up to 35%

    - Works collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders at appropriate GSC milestones, shares global research, manages "one IR voice" to supply base.
