Department OverviewThe Avigilon Alta hardware group (formerly Openpath) is looking for an outstanding team member to join our inspection team. We are looking for strong technical talent to join us as we build, scale and innovatively develop our industry leading platform for access control and office automation. Job Description

This position is based in Culver City, CA and the candidate must reside in the Greater Los Angeles Area as you will be required to go into the office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and determine the root cause of failure for RMA products

  • Troubleshoot and test RMA units to component label

  • Record findings in Excel/Sheets/Jira and determine appropriate next step for devices

  • Escalate units to engineering team when a root cause cannot be identified

  • Work with internal and external teams to review updates to RMA process

  • Work with QA team to design, develop and execute test plans for life cycle, unit and regression testing

  • Work cross functionally with mobile, backend, hardware and firmware teams to develop new products and features

  • Work with customer support and other software teams as a technical resource for any customer issues and patch bugs as needed

  • Support internal and external manufacturing efforts for product quality control and bring up

  • Work with a truly unique and driven team that comes from a diverse background of different hardware and software roles

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as a test technician

  • Associates Degree

  • Not afraid to test and debug

  • Results-oriented, dependable, and accountable

  • Willingness to work autonomously

  • Highly organized, can juggle competing priorities and tasks

  • Willing to learn and share your knowledge with others

Target Base Salary Range: $38,400 - $64,100 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
