THE JOB:

The Aria Resort & Casino is looking for a Baker Helper to join our team! In this role, you'll work in a fast-paced environment and be a part of a team that values precision, and creativity. You'll also play a key part in upholding cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in your work areas. Collaboration is key and you'll work closely with management, chefs, and service staff to address the needs of both guests and employees, contributing to exceptional guest experiences.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.8511

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Work as a team to help assist the Baker

• Maintain solid knowledge of all food products

• Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment

• Prepare dishes following recipes and yield guides

• Apply basic knife skills required for preparation

• Plate desserts

• Deliver food and equipment as necessary to banquet event venues/rooms

• Communicate with management, chefs and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issue or needs requested by guests and/or other employees

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• At least 1 year of experience as a helper or a graduate of a Pastry school

• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers, beverage machines, mixers, VCR and small wares

• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations

• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
