Odle Management - A subsidiary of Eckerd Connects

Reports to the Student Support Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position. Performs clerical tasks associated with the maintenance of records for students enrolled in the Job Corps Program. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of: workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills and independent living.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and abides by ODLE Core Values and operating principles.
  • Maintains accurate files for all students.
  • Prepares folders for new arrivals. Prints arrival list, interview sheets, labels, ETA 6-106 form, etc. Pulls medical questionnaire and copies 652 for Health Services. Seals any court information.
  • Prints various forms/reports for other departments, e.g., safe arrival letters, AWOL letters, etc.
  • Enters new student information into system.
  • Enters routine information in the computer daily as it relates to student activities.
  • Processes, collects, and files clothing receipts.
  • Processes transportation requests for students and new recruits.
  • Answers routine questions for students
  • Backs up Center Information System (CIS) and performs routine clerical duties.
  • Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
  • Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
  • Cultivates and maintains a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • One-year experience in a complex clerical capacity preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Additional Requirements: Proficient in the use of a personal computer; working knowledge of word processing. Good organizational skills. Working knowledge of office procedures. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to proofread, correct punctuation, grammatical and spelling errors. Sound management techniques. Ability to effectively relate to trainee population. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment. In addition, an individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
