We have an opening for a Paralegal II.

The Paralegal II applies knowledge of real estate processes and its associated procedures to provide fundamental assistance to lawyers.

In this capacity, the Paralegal II will:

  • Perform work in an efficient and cost-effective manner so as to permit the Firm to reasonably collect fees for such work;
  • Meet expectations of billable hours target of 1,725 (unless otherwise specified);
  • Under the supervision of an attorney, assist with closings by preparing and finalizing transactional and legal documents;
  • Create closing binders, update closing checklist, and track status updates;
  • Organize, review, and maintain documents and files related to real estate transactions;
  • Order and review lien searches and corporate organizational documents;
  • Prepare and inventory signature pages from various parties;
  • Draft and file UCC financing statements;
  • Partner and coordinate with internal resources and third-party vendor services as needed;
  • Coordinate with other areas/departments of the Firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs;
  • Work overtime as required; travel as required; and
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned.

Proficiencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications;
  • Proficiency in MS Word and document editing/comparison applications;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet/database applications;
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presentation applications;
  • Experience with timekeeping and expense reporting applications; and
  • Knowledge of legal billing processes.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Paralegal experience (required);
  • At least 2 years' real estate experience (preferred); and
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

All paralegals must comply with continuing education requirements pursuant to the requirements of their jurisdiction.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $65,300 and a maximum of $85,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
