Post Doc Associate

The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, is seeking applications for a postdoctoral associate in neuroscience and metabolism research. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and inclusive research environment to explore neural circuits involved in food digestion and metabolism and their implications for health conditions such as obesity and diabetes. This is a one-year, full-time position with potential for renewal. This position is under the supervision of Dr. Yuhan Wang and provides opportunities to conduct independent and cutting-edge research in the field of neuroscience and metabolism and advance professional career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct independent research projects.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team.
• Apply for internal and external funding with mentorship support.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in neuroscience, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Demonstrated experience with mouse models, molecular biology, histology, or microscopy techniques.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, or R is a plus but not required.
