Job Overview:

Performing secretarial duties to the daily demands of the Cancer Ctr-Admin department. Acts as an administrative contact for all patients, family members, and visitors by demonstrating immediate, courteous, and cooperative interactions at all times.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior healthcare experience is required.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is required.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word for Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects.
  • Strong anticipation skills and forward-thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to interact at all levels with internal and external personnel.

Preferred:

  • Associate/Bachelors preferred.
  • 5+ years administrative secretarial experience is strongly preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-time, Day

Essential Functions:

  • Provides secretarial/administrative support directly to clinical faculty and senior staff exercising confidentiality.
  • Using business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries.
  • Receives, screens, and directs incoming calls, patients, mail and email.
  • Maintains files, records, calendars, arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements and tracks expenses.
