Salesforce is seeking experienced Salesforce Consulting Developers to join our Professional Services team within the Customer Success Group (CSG). In this role, you will combine deep technical knowledge with consulting expertise to deliver exceptional solutions for our customers, driving impactful business outcomes. You will be a hands-on Developer for the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce solutions, while also mentoring team members and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert in Salesforce development, focusing on Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform integration.

  • Design and implement scalable solutions that meet customer business needs, ensuring alignment with Salesforce best practices.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other consultants to deliver high-quality, end-to-end solutions.

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive customer success and satisfaction.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, leveraging creative problem-solving skills to deliver timely solutions.

  • Develop application and technical design documentation to ensure solution quality and maintainability.

  • Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements, identifying risks and contributing to successful project delivery.

  • Participate in the development and deployment of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless code promotion and environment management.

  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must reside in the Washington DC area.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of enterprise consulting experience, including implementation of CRM or ERP systems and responsibility for technical leadership.

  • 5+ years of professional object-oriented development experience, including expertise in Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and Salesforce unit testing.

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern development tools (e.g., VSCode, IntelliJ, Git).

  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.

  • Familiarity with integration technologies, single sign-on, and master data management.

  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.

  • Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.

  • Ability to support customers and project members in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

  • Ability to learn new technologies as well as good presentation, communication and facilitation skills.

  • Available to travel regionally and occasionally internationally depending on customer needs.

Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance that may be required for this role. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Ability to build and manage relationships both internally and externally.

  • Experience working in a consulting role working with matrix teams.

  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical teams.

  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform and / or other CRM products.

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, App Builder, JavaScript Developer I, Administrator).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Copado, or Gearset.

  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture standards, functional and technical solution design, and testing methodologies.

  • Exposure to Salesforce Clouds such as Sales, Service, Marketing, or Revenue Cloud.

  • Familiarity with middleware tools and enterprise integration platforms.

  • Proven ability to manage risk, deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT), and achieve measurable outcomes.

For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800. For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $172,800.
