Summary

We are seeking skilled and versatile combo welders to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various welding processes, including flux core, TIG, stick and arc gouge welding processes. The candidate will be responsible for welding in multiple positions on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloys. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Safety and quality are not only an expectation, but a condition of employment.

Essential Functions

  • Perform welding tasks using flux core, TIG, stick, and arc gouge welding processes on a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloys.
  • Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Clean and prepare welds for inspection by removing slag, splatter, and BB's.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, ensuring they meet PALA standards, industry standards, and project specifications prior to requesting inspection by shop QC.
  • Proficiently utilize an angle grinder and end grinder.
  • Read and interpret WPS's, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and sequences.
  • Assemble metal components and structures using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workspace in a clean and organized manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any welding issues that arise during fabrication or assembly.
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum four years' experience as a certified welder, or Two (2) years' experience as Certified Welder plus 2 years' ABC or equivalent training.
  • Experienced in stick and tig pipe welding.
  • Experienced in welding carbon, stainless steel and various alloys.
  • Must pass required welding test as required by the specific job site.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School or GED preferred but not required.
  • Trade School program preferred but not required.
