Our Guardian Glass facility in Carleton, MI, is hiring a Hot End Technician. A hot end tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment and assets. Shift: Monday-Friday 8 Hour shifts - Day shift Travel: Potential to travel globally to support global repairs up to 15% of the time Pay: Commensurate with experience Our Team If you enjoy working in a team environment, are detail-oriented and safety-focused, then this may be the job for you! What You Will Do In Your Role * Build a foundational understanding of the float line, being a lifelong learner * Maintaining the Hot End assets, focusing on the Furnace and tin bath, through both preventative and reactive maintenance * Plan and Execute Hot Repairs projects driving safety and quality seeking to have the smallest negative impact possible to our production goals * Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in the hot end processes * Provide training support and share knowledge with hot end operators * Support troubleshooting and problem-solving events, participate in challenge sessions and RCA's * Support the Float Operations team in a 24/7/365 environment available, to be on call and work nights/weekends as needed Who you are (Basic Qualifications) * Glassmaking hot-end experience * Valid passport or ability to get one within 6 months of hire What Will Put You Ahead * Hot repair experience * Experience with maintenance repair in an industrial environment * Welding/Fabrication experience * Leadership experience * Float Glass Annealing experience Hiring Philosophy All Koch companies value diversity of thought, perspectives, aptitudes, experiences, and backgrounds.
