Guardian is searching for a Logistics Supervisor to support our Float Glass Facility in Carleton, Michigan. The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising the hourly equipment drivers to support the assets in the plant and the warehouse. This person is responsible for working 12 hour shifts, days or nights.

What You Will Do

* Provide leadership and direction to the safety of all employees and visitors to the facility
* Lead, coach and mentor a crew in meeting safety, quality and logistics goals
* Develop crew members for improving individual and organization performance
* Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew
* Continuously improve plant performance through process improvements and lean methodologies
* Work with planning, 3rd party logistics, and customer service to optimize load requirements
* Work with upstream and downstream people and processes to meet customer expectations
* Lead, track and improve performance on key goals and objectives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Minimum of 2 years logistics supervisory experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated success in measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals and objectives
* Demonstrated experience in leading positive employee relations
* Experience coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team
* Experience maintaining accurate employee documentation and files

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience in warehouse cycle audit and inventory management systems
* Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
* Experience using warehouse management software
* Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and receiving safety procedures
