As the Lead Proposals Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development and submission of proposals in response to client requests, requests for information, and other bid opportunities. You will also play a critical role in driving business growth by submitting winning proposals to key customers in the market.

As a Lead Proposals Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the end-to-end proposal development process, including analyzing requirements, developing proposal outlines and schedules, coordinating with subject matter experts, and writing and editing proposal content.
  • Collaborating with our legal support team to read, interpret and negotiate contracts with International Commercial Customers.
  • Developing and maintaining a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices to streamline the proposal development process and ensure consistency and quality.
  • Conducting reviews and revisions of proposal drafts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client requirements and company standards.
  • Managing multiple proposal deadlines and priorities simultaneously to meet submission deadlines and achieve business objectives.
  • Assessing true commercial risk to ensure correct mitigation are established and appropriate contingencies are applied.
  • Completing handover documentation to the operational business upon contract award.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, engineering or a related field.
  • Have proven experience in proposal development, preferably in a technology or professional services industry.
  • Have previous experience reading, comprehending and negotiating contracts (with legal support)
  • Have proven track record of successfully leading and winning complex proposals for large-scale projects or contracts.
  • Have strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, compelling proposals.
  • Be proficient in proposal development tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and proposal automation platforms.
  • Have previous experience with CRM/Sales Force/Oracle.
  • Have the ability to read and organize responses for RFP/Tenders.
  • Have experience gathering information and writing tender documents as well as clarification responses.
