As a Technical Sales Representative II at Ryerson, you will be responsible for growing transactional sales, customer relationships and building sustainable territories within your market.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create & develop new customer relationships, at mid to large size OEM's and/or 'Contract Mfg's, with a 100% focus on complex fabrication
  • Develop both internal & external supply chains to facilitate new customer development and existing account growth
  • Interact at high levels, with professionals and executives of Fortune 500 corporations, to build & expand the Ryerson network, relative to value-added sales
  • Support & develop our expansion of internal assets, via customer demand, to grow our Ryerson Advanced Processing (RAP) footprint
  • Develop high level Outside Shop Partners (OSP's), in multiple geographies, to support the expansion of the RAP footprint
  • Assist in the 'On-Boarding' of new customer packages and/or relationships
  • All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is Preferred
  • 5 - 7 years of experience selling/managing in manufacturing industry
  • Successful track record of selling fabrication to a variety of account sizes is preferred
  • Competency in print analysis, high-level customer management, project management and customer on-boarding
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Knowledge of Sigma Nest & AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to interpret blueprints
  • Strong math aptitude
