Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Schedular/Planner located at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This fulltime represented position is responsible for providing logistical support to Operational Labs, primarily receiving and scheduling work requests from Calibration Laboratory customers. It may also include, material handling and delivery, receiving, ordering parts and materials for refurbishment of equipment, and storeroom maintenance. Work will be performed onsite at the Kennedy Space Center. This represented position supports the Space Division at the Kennedy Space Center, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • High School diploma
  • One or more years of experience in one or more of the following: scheduling, shipping and receiving, customer support, material planning and control, or storeroom operations.
  • Working knowledge of applicable computer operating system(s) and standard computer applications.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Safe driving record.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Maintain required certifications, licenses, permits, etc., required for performance of assigned tasks, i.e. forklift operator.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Able to withstand stress of repetitive tasks and pressure of critical deadlines
  • Familiarity with Maximo is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Calibration is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive requests for calibration in-place support from customers through the calibration lab's METTEAM work control system.
  • Work with In-Place lead to schedule calibration personnel and vehicles to perform field work.
  • Contact customer access control contacts as needed to schedule calibration technician access to systems to be calibrate.
  • Monitor upcoming due dates and generate METTEAM work orders for calibrations requiring that a vendor come onsite.
  • Assist procurement with shipment of items going offsite for calibration, matching up shippers with the physical item.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving supplies and materials for as requested.
  • Perform any other related and/or associate duties as required.
