JOB TITLE:

Project Coordinator, Sr. - Federal Relations/Employee Success Coordinator

This position is grant funded and considered at-will employment.

JOB PURPOSE:

In partnership with UW Extension Capacity Building Specialist, this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Extension programs and strengthening organizational capacity which involves ensuring timely and accurate submission of required NIFA/Federal reports. Through these efforts the position will contribute significantly to the success of UW Extension employees and the public value of Extension programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with the UWE Capacity Building Specialist to develop a robust USDA Plan of Work. The Plan of Work reflects the content of the program and how this program relates to and is part of the national system.
  • Reconcile federal capacity accounts and ensure the proper expenditure of capacity funding is in alignment with federal mandates and help Extension Educators align Extension programming within NIFA guidelines.
  • Assist UWE Educators with professional development opportunities
  • Civil Rights coordination
  • Management of UWE's fixed term with our without rolling contract/promotion process,
  • Lead support for annual conferences and events such as EPIC, ENGAGE, ESCAPE, New Employee Training, and other events or trainings as needed to enhance staff skills and overall organizational effectiveness.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
  • UW Extension accounting support,
  • Assist with UW Extension annual job descriptions
  • Assist with UW Extension annual performance appraisal submissions.
  • Represent the department on University or division/college committees, as directed.
  • May perform additional special assignments.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship for work authorization or work visas is not available for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years work-related experience, including administration, supervision, and counseling experience
  • Knowledge of Extension and the land-grant university system
  • Direct experience with budgets and accounting processes
  • Experience managing and communicating data

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellence in ability to communicate orally and in writing. Evidence documented through application materials and experience
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to organize and facilitate educational programs and activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of educational program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Experience managing and communicating data
  • Time management, organizational, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Project management skills- tracking status of multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Competent in Microsoft Suite, Canva, and/or other publishing software
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
