Job Title: Operations Analyst

Location: Salt lake City, UT

Duration: 6 Months

Duties:

Responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders - Business, Engineering, Operations and Credit. Actively engage, partner and drive changes, provide excellent service and support.
  • Delivering transactions in agreed time-frames, as per SLA's whilst improving quality of processing, reducing errors and inculcating the zero error culture.
  • Proactively managing operational risk inherent in business.
  • Ensuring all operational risk/issues are identified and mitigated appropriately and proactively.
  • Ensuring adequate operational controls to manage non generic business
  • Monitoring and booking recall requests on GS' borrows from different Lenders
  • Monitoring and booking returns on GS' loans to external Counterparts
  • Monitoring and booking/amending returns on open borrows based on counter-party feedback
  • Monitoring and booking returns which get cancelled due to issues with GS/Vendor systems
  • Informing the trading desk daily on all borrows which have been recalled but not returned
  • Query resolution and interaction with trading desk and Lenders on recall/return requests
  • Agreeing to deliver/receive margin based on Stock borrow/loan settlement and mark-to-market activity
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies of positions (cash and securities) in the firm's books and records.
  • Completing and overseeing daily checklist ensuring all controls, procedures and processes relating to the assigned functions are followed
  • To act as a change agent solving problems at root cause whilst also taking / making opportunities to automate flows


Skills:

Basic Qualifications


  • Experience gained within Securities Lending
  • Self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible team player and aptitude to working well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand technical workflows in detail
  • Previous project management experience or ability to identify and drive forward process improvement
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritise workload


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
