What does a Supply Chain Design Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Supply Chain Design Manager is well versed in the areas of supply chain network modeling and is responsible for translating network modeling results into financial and business case recommendations to senior leadership. In addition, the role will assume some project pipeline management responsibilities to include Swire Coca-Cola US strategic infrastructure investment, network optimization sourcing, and will have responsibility for supporting the development of other supply chain Analysts.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead infrastructure planning projects through established validation cadences and process with key stakeholders for projects completed independently or by others Leverage thought leadership, change management, and program management skills to drive effective and efficient business case validation for Innovation, facility role changes, plant capability additions, and sourcing changes Collect and verify supply chain data to validate modeling and financial assumptions and outputs associated with each business case Review timing and feasibility of business case recommendation to generate detailed operational plan Incorporate stakeholder feedback in revised recommendations as needed in order to finalize business case and gain stakeholder alignment
  • Conduct presentations for executive leadership regarding the recommendation of various studies and projects, including driving alignment for proposed recommendation Combine solution results with graphics to create presentations and reports (PowerPoint, Excel,Word, Power BI) Present project based findings and recommendations to executive leadership, NPSG, and independent contractors/consultants Summarize capital requirements and expected financial results (payback, NPV, IRR, ROI) Track and report progress for implemented projects and workstreams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives/projects for Innovation Planning and Infrastructure Planning Independently identify and implement process improvement opportunities Update and maintain tools used for modeling and project assessments Benchmark best in class practices with regards to network modelling tools and processes Identify opportunities to leverage new software or tools that improve process efficiency in the area of network optimization Conduct Product Supply Post Launch Reviews to assess performance of new initiatives (DNNSI, COGS, Volume, and Capital at Minimum Conduct Post Project Reviews for strategic infrastructure projects to capture best practices and lessons learned that can be applied to future projects. For example, best practices associated with In-Line Blow Modeling implementations that will be applied to future roll out.
  • Serve as NPSG committee member representing Swire Coca-Cola, USA for product sourcing plans
  • Design and build an end to end supply chain network model annually using Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software that will lead to increased service levels and reduced costs. The network model will serve to right-size inventory levels across the network but also optimize a strategic plan to determine the most cost-effective production facility with regards to Swire manufactured full goods.
  • Determine and recommend the optimal product supply network model across 6 Swire Production Plants and 52 Sales Centers/outside warehouse locations using Llamasoft inventory and network optimization software every 12 months to drive cost efficiencies to include the following; Strategic capacity planning, including expansion recommendations to support growth. Analyze, evaluate, and recommend optimal network sourcing strategies for innovation and promotional products
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • College degree in business, accounting, industrial engineering required or
  • related field required
  • Experience in data modeling and infrastructure capital planning required and
  • 8+ years supply chain, operations, finance, and/or marketing required and
  • 4+ years experience in demand, inventory, supply network planning or materials management required
  • Knowledge in inventory management processes within supply chain operations
  • Demonstrated success in managing Supply Chain Planning and/or data analytics
  • Understanding of Llamasoft and/or other Supply Chain/Network & Inventory Optimization software
  • Expert Excel user (frequent use of macros, pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.)
  • Strong technical background in data engineering, data curation, data visualization, and modeling projects. (Experience using tools such as SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and BI Databases)
  • Expert technical problem solver; capable of transforming, handling, combining, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources for integrity and comparison.
  • Strategic Project management background; with strong prioritization skills including planning, organizing, managing, and controlling resources to achieve specific objectives.
  • Lead change management through influencing others with the ability to function effectively in cross-functional team environments
  • High degree of self-management and drive required
