SVP, Finance Investment & Investor Relations Officer Job Summary The SVP, Finance - Investments and Investor Relations Officer will lead a wide range of critically important externally facing finance functions for the Group including investor relations (interfacing with the investor and analyst community), sourcing and monitoring investments for a $2.0 BN investment portfolio, and interfacing with rating agencies. This Senior Leader will work across the Group, represent the Group externally and interface with key constituents (Board of Directors, investors, rating agency personnel) in doing so. Duties and Responsibilities
- Target and interface with potential and existing public investors, as well as the sell side research community, as the Group's primary "salesperson"
- Articulate the Group's strategy, earnings potential, financial performance and competitive positioning, among other attributes, to public investors, analysts and other external parties
- Maintain and update key investor marketing materials including earnings press releasees and investor relations presentations
- Design and lead the marketing/ investor calendar including planning conferences, meetings, road shows, and potential Investor Day events
- Source and present investment ideas to the CFO
- Work closely with current investment managers to monitor performance and investment reporting
- Identify and monitor key risks to the portfolio as well as the investment guidelines
- Present investment performance and results to the Investment Committee of the Board each quarter
- Act as a primary intermediary with rating agency personnel, leading items including the annual rating agency meeting, relevant annual data collection and regular, frequent dialogue
- Lead business and budget planning for relevant areas of oversight (e.g. Net Investment Income, investor marketing expense)
- Lead and manage staff to include establishing and communicating corporate and function goals and objectives, setting performance goals, performance management and training

- Strong knowledge of investments and the P&C insurance operating environment, including the business model and competitive landscape

Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Advanced degree in related field (i.e. MBA) preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in investments (i.e. analyst, investor relations) and the P&C insurance sector required
- Minimum of five years of management experience required
- Excellent technical skills (analytical, GAAP, U.S. Statutory)
- Designations (i.e. CFA) preferred
