Job Details Job Description Shift: 8a-3p OR 9a - 4p / 4 days per week 1 day off on Tues. or Wed. Essential Functions:Assist patients in the initial scheduling of their transplant evaluation.Obtain financial clearance, information, and prior authorizations for all phases of transplantation.Educate patients in transplant clinic regarding insurance coverage and work with patients and families to obtain appropriate coverage.Communicate financial findings to transplant team, social workers, nurse coordinators and administration.Assist the lead financial coordinator in financial process for urgent/emergent listings and evaluations.High school diploma required, plus a minimum of 2 years experience required in a hospital, Business office/Physicians office.Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, strong problem-solving skills.Must have working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and managed care rules and regulations.Familiarity with medical terminologyComputer skills/ strong phone etiquetteWork Shift Rotating (United States of America)Worker Sub Type RegularPrimary Location Address 5501 Old York Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of AmericaNationally ranked, Jefferson, which is principally located in the greater Philadelphia region, Lehigh Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, is reimagining health care and higher education to create unparalleled value.
