Great Hill is seeking a Budget Analyst in Washington, D.C. (Hybrid). The objective of this work is to support our client's Executive Office through budget and financial analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Maintain journals or subsidiary ledgers of an accounting system and balances and reconciles accounts. Verify information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated.
  • Review, analyze and process invoices for government review and approval for payment.
  • Determine accounts, coding transactions, and process material through data processing for application in the accounting system. Analyze and reconcile accounting computer printouts with operating unit reports.
  • Prepare and interpret accounting data and reports.
  • Develop and produce computer generated reports and special data sheets for analysis relative to budget projects, financial management, and funds control.
  • Prepare general correspondence such as memoranda, letters, electronic messages, requisition forms, and a variety of other DEA, Department of Justice, and other Government forms.
  • Log and enter into databases pertinent information gleaned from incoming requests and documents into databases.
  • Gather and prepare statistical data.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with field of major study in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, mathematics, or other related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in the accounting, budget, or finance functions such as securities, investments, and banking that includes a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial and management structure, operations, and corporate fiscal resources
  • Five Years of budget-related or finance-related work experience can be substituted for formal education
  • Ability to solve problems and encourage consistent, solid performance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities in multiple locations, act decisively in daily work, and work well in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Position is pending Award


Desired Skills:



  • Experience using government financial software tools like GFEBS, IPP, PIEE, WAWF etc.
