Job Duties: Associate, Financial Accounting with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Multiple positions available. Prepare and review quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values, financial statements and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds. Prepare and review monthly and ad hoc reporting requests, including management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, financial reporting related requests, and regulatory reporting request (Federal and SEC requests). Prepare and review journal entries relating to daily cash activity, investment activity, currency purchases and exchanges, swap settings, credit facility activities, fund expenses and investor contributions and distributions. Prepare and review period-end close transactions including mark-to-market valuation and foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other transactions. Oversee compliance with regulations and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) internal controls. Work closely with fund administrators and other divisions, including merchant bank, operations and IT, coordinate of year-end audit process with independent auditors.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Economics or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with the following: working with private equity software solution, such as Investran, as well as Microsoft Excel advanced functions, including What-if Analysis and Macro; financial reporting of GAAP financial statements; analyzing cash and accounting data daily and providing solutions to improve working efficiency; and adopting new financial reporting tools and techniques for process improvement and risk controls. Prior experience must include one (1) year with the following: general accounting and general ledger, including cash activities and accounts payable; and performing account reconciliations, account analysis and booking accounting journal entries.
