Key Position Details: 1:1 First assist 50/50 Clinic/OR OR locations: Mercy, United, ANW and St Francis Hospitals Clinic locations: Mercy General Surgery Clinic, Brooklyn Park, WestHealth 10 hr shifts Job Description: Principle Responsibilities Completes comprehensive patient assessments. Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness. Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician. Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment. Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care. Refers for specialty care when determined. Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear. Job Requirements Master's degree Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program required At least one year of experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred. Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission required upon hire Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
