This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on management, ensuring the team delivers high-quality space data management services while driving innovation and continuous improvement in a fast paced, agile environment.
This is an on-account role for a large technology client headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is a part of the Occupancy Planning and Management's Space Data and Insights team. Key responsibilities and qualifications include: Leadership and Team Management: Experience managing a small, remote-first team across various time zones with varying levels of work experience Lead and manage the space data management engagement managers ensuring their performance, growth, and development. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ability to motivate team members and create a welcoming work environment Disseminate goals, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations Support direct reports with becoming strategic advisors, problem solvers and critical thinkers Develop and maintain playbooks and processes for CAFM Operations' use in both internal and client facing materials Ensure team is closing out tasks within agreed upon SLAs, escalate when exceptions occur and identify root cause for escalation Problem-Solving and Strategic Thinking: Analyze problems and provide actionable recommendations Track projects through completion and report success metrics to clients Contribute to process creation and work closely with clients Business acumen to clearly explain ideas and influence decision-making Growth mindset with willingness to innovate, learn from failures, and adapt Space Data Management Expertise: Develop and implement comprehensive space data management strategies Drive continuous improvement of processes, standards, and workflows Identify areas for automation and optimization in data management in partnership with the data quality project manager Ability to generate ad-hoc reports on rule set conformance and performance metrics Utilize data analytics to uncover insights and identify optimization opportunities Ensure alignment with office, lab, and data center standards supporting the global portfolio Project Management and Reporting: Ensure team accountability and on-time project delivery Strong project management and delegation skills Oversee accurate and timely space data management project delivery across the team's global portfolio Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders Issue project minutes, identify risks and next steps Balance work distribution among space data management team Space Data Project intake and forecasting weekly resource availability Liaise between cross-functional teams leveraging CAFM data Partner with subject matter experts on pilot projects and CAFM data structure Provide regular updates on ongoing and upcoming projects supported by the data management team Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand space data needs Foster relationships with external data providers and vendors Communicate best practices and promote data-driven decision-making Interface with As-Builts and BIM programs regarding asset governance Technical Skills: Proficiency in Archibus database Experience with CAFM systems and space management software such as WebCentral and Smart Client Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Strong relationship management skills, including excellent listening and consultative capability, ability to influence and negotiate with business partners, and the capacity to take a broad perspective and make key connections. Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the overall information and analytics space. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong negotiation and group facilitation skills, with the ability to move processes forward while meeting the needs of various clients. Five or more years of experience in data governance/data management in an enterprise environment, working across multiple application systems and business functions. Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a high performance matrixed global team. Execution of complex data projects from initiation to completion, including defining objectives, developing project plans, allocating resources, and monitoring progress. Proficiency in data management and analysis is important for handling space data and generating insights. You should be adept at organizing and analyzing large volumes of data using formulas and macros, interpreting trends, and using data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively. High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to make effective decisions and solve problems. Knowledge of data lifecycle and maintenance processes. Good understanding of data quality management processes and concepts. Knowledge of data governance and its impact on business processes. Advanced skills in the Google Suite, especially gSheets. Experience with data mapping visualization Self-starter with excellent follow-through Location and Work Arrangement: Ideally located in the San Francisco Bay Area near Menlo Park This is a hybrid role that will require the candidate to be in the office three days a week. We are open to candidates outside of the Pacific Time Zone but will require the candidate to work west coast hours and travel onsite once a month. |
