Scope of Position/Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Associate Director for Professional Practice is responsible for advanced practice programs and processes related to clinical education, transition to practice, clinical advancement, shared governance, as well as research and evidence-based practice. The Associate Director collaborates with frontline APP managers, leads, and medical staff supported by APPs, along with hospital and APP leadership, promotion of recruitment and retention of high caliber Advanced Practice Providers will be vital. Position Summary The APP Associate Director for Professional Practice has responsibility for the oversight and outcomes for advanced practice by forecasting trends, setting strategic objectives, providing leadership and development for APPs. The Associate Director demonstrates advanced leadership and communication skills and the ability to manage and successfully mediate conflict, while upholding the organization's commitment to core values, productivity, and quality. Provides leadership and direction with a variety of programs and initiatives identified in the strategic plan associated with APP practice and patient care. The Associate Director supports evidence-based practice, education, research and theory. The role of the Associate Director is to ensure staff competence and continued professional advancement and achievement of patient care outcomes across the continuum. Minimum Qualifications For Hire Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Ohio with national certification as an advanced practice provider with minimum of a masters degree with preference for doctoral degree OR Physician Assistant- Certified with a minimum of a Master of Physician Assistant Science and license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio. Associate Director will obtain and maintain hospital credentials to practice at medical center. Required: Three years of previous administrative leadership experience, including knowledge of APP practice required. Masters degree as an APP required, doctorate preferred. Certification required. Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a positive, consistent and enthusiastic manner. Interacts cooperatively and collaboratively with diverse groups. |
