Job Description Summary: |
The Department of Prevention and Community Health in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University is recruiting a Senior Research Assistant to play a key role in research related to health equity. This person will work within Dr. Dangerfield's Prevention Research and Innovations In Sexual Epidemiology (
PRIISE) lab and be critical in the execution of several research studies in various phases of development. This lab focuses on
HIV/
STI prevention with particular emphasis on populations disproportionately affected by health disparities.
The core responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Assist with data collection, management, and analysis for ongoing research studies.
- Coordinate with study participants, health departments, and community partners.
- Follow up with participants.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with ethical standards and institutional review board (IRB) protocols.
- Support the implementation of study protocols.
- Support literature reviews and support the development of research protocols.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS and 1 year of experience in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. |

Preferred Qualifications: |
A strong preference for candidates who have previous experience in fieldwork, certifications as a Disease Intervention Specialist (
DIS), or public health intervention strategies. |

$17.75 - $24.43 |
