Job Summary: The Assurance Experienced Associate, Public Housing Authority partners with Senior Consultants and Managers on client projects and engagements to assist in delivering accounting, audit, and management consulting services to clients. Job Duties:
- Performs basic bookkeeping for clients including entering trial balances, making entry adjustments as needed, verifying trial balance amounts, and setting up electronic files to support client
- Applies knowledge and application of Finance standards to guide effective and efficient delivery of quality services and products
- Provides strong written work products including workpapers that meets the client's requirements and Finance quality standards
- Answers basic client questions or consults with seniors to provide responses
- Applies principles and knowledge of professional standards and the ability to document and communicate and understanding and application or professional standards on an engagement
- May make basic constructive suggestions to improve the client's programs and policies
- Researches basic and intermediate accounting topics and public housing topics; forms an initial opinion on the treatment independently
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, required
Experience:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in public or private accounting firm, required
- Basic bookkeeping and experience making entries, work in audit, preferred
License/Certifications:
- Actively pursuing completion of CPA licensing, required
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
- Experience with various assurance applications and research tools, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
