RN Acute-Pediatric Emergency Department-Methodist 7p-7a and Every 4th Weekend with a Holiday Rotation 11a-11p and Every 4th Weekend with a Holiday Rotation 7a-7p Part-time Weekend Package, 3 out of 4 Weekends Eligible for $10,000 Sign-On Bonus with a FTE of .8 and above As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Blank Pediatric Emergency Department provides care for children from birth through 17 years of age. A Family-Centered Care approach is implemented in the delivery of patient care. The Pediatric Emergency Department is a newly constructed department with state-of-the-art equipment. It has 12 regular treatment rooms, plus 6 express care examination rooms. Pediatric Emergency Department is a designated Pediatric Level II Trauma Center. Why UnityPoint Health?

Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Qualifications: Current active Iowa License to practice as a RN. Minimum of six months RN experience. Previous Peds ED experience preferred with TNCC/ENPC/PALS combo. Department of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. ***PLEASE NOTE: All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, are encouraged and required to participate in the RN Residency program. Newly licensed nurses must apply for the Registered Nurse Residency position.
