Role Description:

The Linear Asset Management Intern will focus on analyzing data related to water systems and assets. The intern will be involved in generating maps, data analysis, and assisting in maintaining the water infrastructure.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:



  • A real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connections with recent college graduates and our company leaders
  • Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead
  • Performance of other work-related duties as needed



Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:



  • Learn how service orders are generated and managed in the asset management cycle.
  • Involved in generating maps in ArcGIS and exporting data from the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Provide analysis of data related to water system maintenance.
  • Assist in generating timely reports and maps as directed by supervisors.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required Skills & Qualifications



Required Experience:
Basic knowledge of water systems and infrastructure.
Proficiency with MS Excel and data analysis.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Required Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Ability to use computers for mapping and data management.
Required Licenses & Certifications:
Not applicable
Physical Requirements:


  • General office conditions
  • Occasional visits to fieldwork sites for data collection



Preferred Skills & Qualifications



Preferred Experience:
Experience with ArcGIS or similar mapping software.
Knowledge of CMMS or asset management systems.
Preferred Education Requirements:
Preferred Major: Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related fields.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced data analysis skills, such as using PowerBI or other visualization tools.
Familiarity with GIS software like ArcGIS.
