Role Description:

The Grants and Wholesale Billings Intern will support the Grants and Wholesale Billing team in various billing and grant-related activities. The intern will assist with transaction and data analysis, summarizing financial data, preparing billing reports, and assisting in the preparation of grant reports. Additional responsibilities will include downloading and verifying invoices from Oracle, maintaining data dashboards, and ensuring that all financial information is accurate and up to date. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in billing, financial reporting, and data analysis.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:

Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:



  • Assist in preparing billing reports, including summarizing transactions and ensuring all charges are accurately reflected.
  • Conduct transaction and data analysis to support the billing process, including identifying discrepancies and preparing summarized reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant reports, ensuring that financial details align with grant requirements and guidelines.
  • Download and verify invoices from Oracle, ensuring that all amounts are accurate and correspond with supporting documents.
  • Help maintain and update various data dashboards to track billing and grant-related activities.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing financial documentation related to billing and grants for review by senior staff.
  • Work with team members to support ongoing billing and grant-related tasks and ensure deadlines are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Required Experience:
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including working with formulas, creating spreadsheets, and summarizing data.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and creating reports
Attention to detail for verifying invoices and ensuring accurate billing and grant reporting
Analytical skills to review financial data and identify discrepancies
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to prepare clear reports and collaborate with team members

Preferred Skills & Qualifications



Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with basic billing and invoicing processes
Experience with Oracle or similar financial systems for invoicing and billing
Prior internship or work experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis roles
Experience with financial reporting or maintaining dashboards for tracking financial data
Preferred Education Requirements:
Preferred Majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analysis.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using Oracle or similar financial software for invoicing and reporting
Advanced data analysis skills, including the ability to create and update dashboards
Understanding of billing processes and grant reporting requirements
