Genesis10 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Brookfield, WI. This is a 12+ month, hybrid, contract-to-hire position. Responsibilities: Provide support for the design, implementation and operation of Microsoft Windows, Linux, VMWare and cloud infrastructure platforms Provide support for the LAN, WAN, Firewall and Load Balancing solutions and for the implementation and operation of Microsoft application environments such as Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, and M365 Provide support for the design, implementation and operation of the standard infrastructure applications such as backup, anti-virus, security, patching, monitoring, and ITSM tools Ensure disaster recovery solution is operational, maintained and meeting the business needs Deliver excellent customer service, resolving support requests and ensuring prompt and effective resolutions within agreed service timescales Perform maintenance tasks on supported infrastructure and applications during after business hours maintenance windows when required Escalate calls where significant service affecting incidents or security breaches occur as appropriate Follow standard operating procedures relating to management of the network and security environments Complete and maintain accurate documentation Perform project work and other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an IT Infrastructure delivery or support role 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery, design or support role for on-premises and/or cloud infrastructure 2+ years of experience proven experience in and supporting Microsoft, Linux or server clusters 1+ years of proven experience of year of creating automated environment deployment processes with tools such as Terraform 1+ years of experience with core access and identity components such as Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and Client 1+ years proven experience installing and/or supporting VMWare and Cisco Networking Equipment, including routers, switches and firewalls 1+ years of experience with storage LUN creation, vSAN stretched clustering, storage disk utilization and management Demonstrated understanding of enterprise networking - routing protocols & traffic flow, VLAN and subnet management Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel On-call availability for emergency support calls Preferred Experience: Knowledge of SDWAN VPLEX Experience Compensation: Up to $110,000 per year depending on experience, qualifications, and Education.
