- The Advanced Planning Specialist shall support internal and external customers with the Joint Operational Planning process to support test events, joint exercises, operational exercises, and planning conferences.
- The Advanced Planning Specialist shall assist with the development of strategic objectives, planning assumptions, concept development, mission analysis, feasibility studies, acceptability and compliance, and plan documentation to support the overall exercise.
- The Advanced Planning Specialist shall coordinate with other commands and agencies to ensure logistical requirements are met. This includes the packaging, shipping, and receiving of equipment needed during test events; assessing the locations capabilities and developing plans to meet requirements; coordinating resources and equipment; developing
- The Advanced Planning Specialist shall support exercises, fielding, and test events of new, existing and prototype systems in various locations. This includes assessing the impact of new systems and the transition of new technologies into current systems, assessing the locations' ability to meet mission requirements (e.g. temperature, power) and developing plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- This position requires: Strong task management, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and providing a high level of customer services with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Minimum/General Experience:
- Three years of experience in:
- Supporting exercise planning across the Joint Event
- Participating in planning meetings and develop and present plans
- Conducting research and analysis of full spectrum operations in a joint, multinational, and interagency
- Assisting in observer/controller activities and documenting lessons learned for after action
- Supporting training plans and program development.
- One Year experience in:
- Providing expert analysis of other DoD, Interagency (IA), and multinational operations to ensure synchronization with USCENTCOM objectives.
- Coordinating with other agencies and conveying a feasibility analysis for planned
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and,
- Three years of experience in the Joint Event Lifecycle, OR,
- Seven years of professional experience in the Joint Event Lifecycle.
