Job Summary:

This position will assist faculty with all aspects of foot and ankle orthopedic research, including clinical data collection, coordinating study subject enrollment, assisting collection of tissue specimens in the operating room, and publication writing. This position will also be responsible for administrative activities related to the submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols to the Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB), Western IRB (WIRB), and other regulatory agencies. This includes protocol development, writing consent forms, adverse event reporting, writing and submitting grants, managing continuing reviews of protocols, preparing and submitting abstracts, papers and manuscripts. The PRA will ensure compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures that govern the department's human subjects research. This includes monitoring FDA and other clinical trials.
This position will oversee students working directly on projects. The position will interact with patients during study visits and ensure completion of all necessary documentation, as well as facilitating study-related billing. The position will serve as a liaison to study sponsors and will lead site visits. The position will also assist in the development and maintenance of a record keeping system of protocols for COMIRB and other regulatory agency activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor on-going research projects on a daily basis
- Maintain complete records of all research projects
- Perform statistical analysis and generate figures
- Assist with preparation of manuscripts and research presentations
- Assist with preparation of grants and project reports
- Liaise with department research director on collaborative projects

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of some days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Specifics to be determined by supervisor.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience writing and editing abstracts, manuscripts, or grants in a research field (preferably clinical)
- Bachelor's degree in science or health related field
- Clinical research or related experience
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
- 2+ years' experience with clinical research
- Previous research publications
- Previous management experience
- Master's degree in health related field
- Experience with statistical platforms such as R, SPSS, or SAS
- Experience with clinical platforms such as REDCap
- Experience with, NIH PROMIS Outcomes

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $47,743-$60,729 The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
