Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Refresh Project Consultant with our Insurance Agency client in their location. This is a 3 month + contract and remote position. This will require travel to 7-10 locations during the length of the contract. Summary: Seeking a Network Refresh Project Consultant working with an Insurance Agency to assist with their transition from traditional routers to firewalls in each office location. This role will require travel to 7-10 locations during the length of the contract. The consultant will work within the network team, adding additional bandwith to complete the onsite deployments. Candidates located on the East Coast are preferred to reduce travel time to the company's offices. Hours: Some Nights and Weekends - cut over happens in evenings typically; starting around 6pm til 8 or 9pm; support for next day as needed Responsibilities: A third party team will be installing and setting up the equipment; the Network Consultant will be responsible for making sure all the cables are in the correct place and then connect the cable to new router after installation. Ensure everything is working correctly. Plug into the console port to remote in if issues occur. Requirements: General networking knowledge (switches and routers). Strong hands-on experience working in an IT closet- cabling (working with fiber and copper). Prior Experience working with Cisco Switches. Experience with Network Firewalls; Fortinet/Fortigate preferred. Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
