About the Role

The Chicago Bears are looking for Full-Time Training Camp staff (temporary, entry-level) to support our Equipment department during the summer of 2025. This position requires working at least 40 hours per week from late July to mid-August at our corporate office in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the equipment team to deliver helpful, friendly, and professional customer service to players and staff within football operations.
  • Assist in cleaning, maintaining, and distributing the club's clothing and gear.
  • Set up and break down equipment at practice and tryouts. Maintain practice equipment and organize storage spaces.
  • Assist with inventory system
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with shipping and receiving
  • Assist with day-to-day laundry duties
  • Help accommodate coaches and players accordingly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience or current college student
  • Previous equipment department experience with a collegiate program or professional team is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of AEMA best practices and methodologies. -Athletic Equipment Manager's Association.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours throughout the entire duration of the position. This includes evenings, early mornings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and customer service skills
  • Positive enthusiasm, friendly demeanor, and professionalism
  • Takes initiative, is adaptable and can work as a part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time in varying weather conditions, climb up/down bleacher stairs and lift heavy objects.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of weighted objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than (4) hours per day.
  • Basic computer skills

Competitive Industry Pay

The Training Camp - Equipment is a full-time non-contract seasonal position. This position is an HOURLY role. The expected hourly rate for this role is $16.25/per hour. Please note, due to job function, regular overtime (paid as time-and-a-half) may or may not be expected.
