Position Description

This position will be responsible for management of a national inside sales team (sales reps located remotely) selling the AmniSure Rupture of Fetal Membranes (ROM) Test with call points into the hospital lab and labor and delivery. This position is accountable for achieving North America AmniSure sales objectives while supporting with the management of the Women's Health product portfolio including some upstream and downstream marketing.

Main Responsibilities include:

- Lead the team, set and track budget achievement, identify and understand market trends, monitor CRM system compliance and drive all initiatives ensuring excellent execution by the sales team.

- Provide administrative control over responsibilities, written performance review and a development plan for each employee, complete written performance goals and quarterly reviews with each direct report.

- Provide leadership and management direction that enable the sales organization to exceed the tactical sales plan and achieve the North America sales objectives.

- Work cross-functionally with regional marketing, customer service, and technical support to maximize revenue; collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain and Regulatory as needed.

- Understand and work within the hospital and health system environment at a clinical, lab and administrative level across departmental silos. Focus Areas/call points: Point of Care, Hospital Lab, Labor and Delivery, ObGyn, Women's Health Managers, Nurse Educators, Procurement.

- Recruit appropriately experienced and talented sales representatives to cover the region and manage their onboarding, training, and development.

- Provide leadership and management for national inside sales team, including being a role model, who demonstrates QIAGEN core competencies: Leadership, Communicating Effectively, Business Focus, Managing Change, Customer Focus, Applying and Managing Resources, Taking Initiative, Developing and Applying Skills and Knowledge, and Working In Teams. Coach and development team members.

- Ability to Analyze and Interpret Data, Develop Customer Partnerships with Key Customers and Develop and Implement regional account strategies to drive sales and Manage Change.

-Support the inside sales team in collaborating cross-functionally with the health system executive team, finance, legal, and other departments to write long-term, committed contracts with key customers and health systems to secure business.

- Effective Coaching and Development.


Position Requirements

- Sales management experience or other management experience preferred

-Working knowledge of QIAGEN's women's health product portfolio in the hospital setting.

- Proven record of success in Sales/Sales Management.

- Understanding of complex sales within hospital systems (IDNs) and contracting.

- Marketing experience including conference logistics, campaigns, digital marketing, collateral development, supply forecasting, setting budgets and training desired.

- BS degree or equivalent.

- Competitive industry and product knowledge, QIAGEN product lines desirable.

- Basic knowledge of clinical laboratory practice and complex sales including value analysis reviews and supply chain. Additional experience in Laboratory and Sales within hospital systems (IDNs) desired.

- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SFDC.

- Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills for all business levels.

- Effective presentation skills.

- travel required; up to 10% of time spent at regional conferences or sales leadership meetings.

- Valid driver's license required.
