Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

**This position requires an active MBI clearance.**

We are seeking an ATO Support Specialist to navigate the IRS Authorization to Operate (ATO) process. The role includes preparing and reviewing ATO documentation, analyzing legacy Business Master File (BMF) documentation for reuse, and coordinating with security partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely submission and tracking of Security Change Management Requests and provide updates on the ATO process via IMS on a weekly basis.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for ATO Support Specialist: $135K- $150K

Pay commensurate with experience.

ATO Support Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Navigate the IRS ATO process, including preparing ATO documentation.
• Review legacy BMF documentation and analyze potential reuse for BMF Mod.
• Coordinate with security partners to ensure documentation is accurate, reviewed, and signed.
• Provide weekly updates in IMS to reflect the ATO process.
• Collaborate with ISSOs, clients, and vendor partners to prepare, submit, and track Security Change Management Requests
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

ATO Support Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting IRS ATO processes or similar security compliance roles.
• Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing security documentation.
• Experience coordinating with security stakeholders such as ISSOs and clients.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong understanding of IRS ATO processes and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with Information Management Systems (IMS) and related tools.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills for reviewing and managing complex documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with ISSOs, clients, and vendor partners.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Active MBI Clearance - Mandatory. Candidates must provide a valid MBI memo with their resume.
