Job Summary:

The Wisconsin Reading Center (WRC) seeks a collaborative individual to assist in preparing images for ophthalmology reading. The incumbent will be preparing digital ocular scans by converting format in software and running a segmentation software algorithm. Manual correction of segmentation lines in the images. This position does not involve coding or programming responsibilities.


Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of data entry, verification, and related clerical duties. Enters and updates data into a computer system or software or national database

  • 50% Prepares and sorts documents for data entry
  • 25% Enters information into systems or national database
  • 5% Maintains awareness of and ensures adherence to university standards regarding privacy
  • 20% - Review and examine the segmentation lines for accuracy and make appropriate corrections for completeness
    - Optimize images for analysis.
    - Uses proprietary software to view and analyze metadata, images, and documentation.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Attention to detail, and strong organization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Experience in research setting or healthcare.

Preferred:
- Experience working in Optometry and Ophthalmology setting.
- Experience working in a clinic office setting.
- Experience working with clinical trials.


Work Schedule:

M-F 8-5pm


Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 60% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.


Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 12 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding


Salary:

Minimum $17.00 Maximum $20.00 HOURLY

Additional Information:

University sponsorship is not available for this position, including transfers of sponsorship.
