Genesis10 is seeking a Desktop Technician for a contract with our client in Eagan, MN. Job Description: The main function of a desktop technician is to be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows desktops. This role will be to assist with the removal of Java from all our end-point computers. Technician will work with the End User Services teams directly. Responsibilities are to work with end-users and coordinate removal of Java software, report statuses and escalate issues to a larger project team. This role is 100% onsite and will be a M-F 7am-4:30 PM CST shift. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the software and hardware life cycle management processes including research, packaging, quality assurance, and deployment preparation Set up new users, including desktop configuration, email accounts, ldap accounts, VPN accounts Support employees, both local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to various internal services Troubleshoot software issues on employees desktops/laptops Some off hours support may apply Required Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 3+ years experience required Knowledge of Windows OS Experience with desktop installation and configuration Experience troubleshooting desktop issues as well as mobile devices Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $25-$28 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
