The UC San Diego Health Director, Infrastructure will establish and uphold a Capital Asset Management program that tracks and manages all asset lifecycle, aiming to maximize asset value, minimize hospital operational risks, and ensure that buildings efficiently support the hospital mission to deliver outstanding patient care. Develop and maintain a data-driven short- and long-term Infrastructure Capital Program to align with hospital strategic plan. Oversee Program Portfolio of projects to manage and track project performance against capital allocation. Provide insight, collaboration and support on Health system major expansion building projects. Increase organization awareness to the value of the Infrastructure Program. The Director will oversee and manage outcomes related to the Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) to occur at La Jolla, Hillcrest and East Campus. The FCA will obtain current conditions of assets (such as roofing, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and lighting), forecast of each asset's effective age and estimated lifespan. The Director, Infrastructure will develop a cost analyses and timelines to help build our ten year infrastructure capital budget. In partnership with Finance, this Director will lead infrastructure teams and projects to figure out how we can ensure all significant infrastructure work is represented in Finance's 10-year forecast. Advises senior management and consults with industry professionals in designing, planning and managing complex, highly specialized clinical enterprise capital projects. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and provides guidance to project managers. Is considered a subject matter expert and often recognized as an industry expert. Key Responsibilities:
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $128,800 - $252,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $61.69 - $120.79 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
