PURPOSE

The Fleet Technology Specialist will support the Director of Fleet Technology and Productivity in implementing and managing technology platforms essential for fleet maintenance, data governance, and master data management. This role focuses on identifying, measuring, and delivering fleet productivity initiatives, ensuring the effective management of fleet-related expenses, and maintaining reliable, low-cost fleet assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Technology Implementation: Assist in the initial implementation and ongoing management of fleet management systems to provide critical business information.
  • Data Management: Support data governance and master data management efforts to ensure accurate tracking and categorization of fleet assets and related expenses.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance metrics (KPMs) to ensure consistent maintenance, reliability and utilization of fleet assets.
  • Cost Control: Implement strategies to control and reduce fleet maintenance costs.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the development and training of employees on fleet management systems and best practices.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all fleet activities comply with safety requirements and regulations.
  • System Utilization: Promote effective utilization of fleet management systems to enhance productivity.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct reports. The role operates indirectly with stakeholders, fleet team members, and cross-functional support teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.




  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field / or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with fleet management systems and data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.



COMPETENCIES




  • Experience in fleet maintenance and productivity initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Automation experience (Python, REST API).
  • Experience with SDKs (Software Development Kits).
  • Experience in DevOps: Continuous Integration (CI), Monitoring and Logging, Collaboration and Communication.
