Job Summary (Primary function)
The Sr. Manager, Oncology Commercial Analytics is responsible for the development of reports and key insights for Incyte's US Oncology marketed and prelaunch brands. This role will be a critical lead supporting Oncology commercial analytics deliverables and insights generation, reporting to the Executive Director, Oncology Commercial Analytics. This role will have extensive collaboration with Market Access/Trade, Sales, Product Strategy, Finance, and Forecasting leads to ensure alignment of key business objectives.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

* Support Commercial Operations and cross-functional oncology teams-including Sales, Product Strategy, Market Access, and Sales Operations-in uncovering and understanding key performance drivers across Incyte's oral and IV/IJ oncology portfolio.

* Synthesize, analyze, and aggregate insights from diverse internal and external data sources to produce comprehensive reports and conduct ad-hoc analyses that identify market trends, growth opportunities, and competitive threats.

* Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for business partners, segmented customer groups, and market access initiatives.

* Collaborate closely with Product Strategy, Sales, Market Access, Finance, and Business Operations to proactively identify and address critical business questions through data-driven insights.

* Provide expert guidance to the Business Information Services team on business rules, best practices for data sourcing, and data mastering approaches to ensure accuracy and consistency.

* Partner with the patient access team (IncyteCARES) to deliver analytical support, ensuring patient programs operate efficiently and effectively.

* Prepare, cleanse, and quality-check data to maintain consistency and reliability across multiple datasets.

* Monitor and analyze patient and prescriber-level trends across various payer types (commercial and government), regions, trade channels, and oncology indications within Incyte's portfolio.

* Integrate and interpret competitive product utilization data from multiple vendors across key indications.

* Combine dispense data from Specialty Pharmacy channels with 867 data from Specialty Distributors to generate comprehensive insights on product utilization at the parent account level.

* Evaluate the impact of promotional activities on account-level trends and overall product performance.

* Contribute to team efforts by supporting ad hoc analyses, presentations, and both tactical and strategic initiatives.

* Document business requirements to facilitate transitioning from ad hoc queries to automated, scalable reporting and visualization tools.

* Leverage public datasets to enhance and elevate the value of our internal analytics, driving deeper insights and more impactful decision-making

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competence)

* Bachelor's degree is required.

* 3-5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical industry via either vendor and/or pharmaceutical manufacturer.

* Technical proficiency querying, analyzing and reporting on large data sets (SQL, SAS, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables/Macros) and Power Point.

* Experience with statistical analysis methods using software such as Python, SAS, R, SPSS, or similar tool is a plus.

* Specialty pharmacy (SP) and specialty distributor (SD) knowledge

* Experience working with patient-level data (pharmacy prescription data, claims data, etc.)

* Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred candidate qualifications

* Experience working with wholesaler shipment data (867) and chargeback data is preferred.

* Experience working with medical claims data (CMS 1500 and/or UB04) is a plus.

* Prior experience on new product launches or expanded indication launches in competitive/non-protected and contracted therapeutic classes.

  • Understanding of commercial and market access concepts, including payer types and reimbursement environments
  • Knowledge of oncology market dynamics and key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem
