Effective training of teammates directly relates to the quality our patients receive in our centers. Teammates in the Learning Design & QA Specialist role ensure that work completed by the DaVita University Design and Development team adheres to established quality standards of technical accuracy, language and grammar rules, and DaVita Branding Guidelines by conducting reviews. Teammates in this role provide support by collaborating on projects and helping design, create, review and write learning and communication deliverables. The support provided in this role is pivotal to the team as it ensures training assets and other materials are in alignment with the DaVita and DaVita University brands.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review training and communication materials for clarity and adherence to DaVita Style and Branding guidelines and established grammatical and language standards.
  • Maintain an electronic list of work-in-progress, time spent, completed assets and prioritize as needed.
  • Follow established processes to return learning assets and feedback to the appropriate owner.
  • Be an expert on the DaVita and DVU branding guidelines.
  • May design, write, update and create learning and communication deliverables on subjects as assigned.
  • Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames.
  • Supports maintenance of learning and communication assets with the DaVita University Team.
  • Provides reports to management as scheduled or requested.
  • Ability to perform well and remain organized under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Coursework in English and/or journalism.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in copy editing preferred
  • Proficiency in English grammar rules and content editing.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a business or training department is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP and APA Stylebook.
  • Interest in Instructional Design and graphic design preferred.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools/software (e.g. Articulate) preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional systems design (ISD) concepts preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Travel required: up to 5%

Salary/ Wage Range

$18.50-$30.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
