New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is currently seeking a Material Handler with our client in their Dallas, TX location. This is a 12-month contract position and is 100% onsite. Responsibilities: Material handling of Hardware including but not limited to: shipping, receiving, labeling, inspection, barcoding, spreadsheet tracking, RMA requests, disposing, and general fulfillment tasks Conduct inventory counts, mitigate inventory variance risk and maintain system accuracy Work with key stakeholders to understand special fulfillment needs and requirements Partake in space planning for storage and incoming orders Work with Inventory Management team to receive parts, inspect, maintain record, and alert appropriate stakeholders when necessary Conduct general fulfillment tasks such as preparing goods for shipment and ensuring packaging requirements are met Work with Mailroom to ship parts as needed including: RMA requests, location transfer requests, and others Order materials as needed Ensure all inventory movement is captured systematically, keeping with documentation and record keeping procedures Assist with Inventory Management team to implement physical space buildout General aid in material handling tasks This position will require sitting and using a laptop and monitor for extended periods of time. This position will also require using a keyboard for data entry for extended periods of time. Ergonomic support can be provided upon request. You may occasionally need to lift items up to 50 pounds or so. Items weighing more than 50 pounds should be lifted as a group not individually. Requirements: Prioritize safety and maintain a safety-first mindset, while following all safe work practices and policies Observe all safety standards. Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Follow operating instructions, use PPE as required, and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries. Ability to operate computer-based programs/spreadsheets Basic understanding of material flow from incoming receipts to inspection to end user Operate warehouse equipment, including but not limited to a forklift, pallet jack, pallet stacker, etc. Training and certification will be provided. Stand for up to 30 minutes to an hour at a time during an 8-hour shift Walking up to 30 minutes to an hour at a time during an 8-hour shift Regularly perform physical work including, but not limited to, squatting, stooping/bending, lifting, and moving/carrying up to 50 pounds. Ability to use a laptop for up to eight hours per shift Ability to give and receive clear, prompt, understandable verbal and written communication High attention to detail Successfully complete a background check, drug screen, and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check The above physical demands describe the general nature of work being performed of the role, and are not intended to be an exhaustive list. Certifications: Forklift Certification, provided if necessary Hazmat Certification, provided if necessary Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8.5-hour shifts You may be required to work nights and/or weekends You may be required to work at different locations Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey employees will be considered for this position. Range: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $16.87 - $21.09/hr. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range is subject to change.
