Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Senior Nursing Aid supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. Cross trains to the role of Hospital Unit Secretary. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. It involves participating in a collaborative team environment, including training and evaluating peers, scheduling work, and assisting the administrative functions of the unit. 10 East is a 26-bed acute care progressive care unit with an average 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. The patient population consists of high-acuity adult medical and cardiac patients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $47,878 - $59,487 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $22.93 - $28.49 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
