Role: Sr. SAP FERC Module Consultant

Job Level: Manager

Location: Houston, TX. Work from home.

Duration: Full Time only - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) Module Consultant to join our diverse team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the functionalities and regulations of the SAP FERC module, following standard methodologies. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP FERC module to ensure compliance with federal energy regulatory requirements. This role requires a problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills, capable of coordinating projects from start to finish.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Provide guide consulting services to clients, including the analysis, design, implementation, and support of SAP Controlling solutions
  • Collaborate with clients to capture and document business requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and objectives.
  • Develop and propose innovative SAP Controlling solutions that address client requirements and enhance business processes
  • Configure SAP Controlling modules (e.g., Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis) to meet business and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure flawless integration of SAP Controlling with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, PP) and third-party systems
  • Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP FERC modules to meet business requirements and regulatory standards
  • Ensure the SAP systems align with FERC regulations and guidelines, staying updated with any changes in the regulatory landscape
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all SAP FERC processes, configurations, and customizations
  • Conduct detailed testing and validation of SAP FERC modules to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Offer training and support to end-users and customers, ensuring they are proficient in using the SAP FERC modules
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the SAP FERC modules for performance improvements and issue resolution
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams, including finance, IT, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of SAP FERC modules with other business processes
  • Handle SAP FERC projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management
  • Generate and analyze reports from SAP FERC modules to provide insights and support decision-making processes
  • Engage with collaborators both internally and externally, including regulatory bodies, to address concerns and gather requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • BS Degree Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP FERC module implementation and consulting
  • Proficient in SAP FERC module functionalities, configuration, and customization.
  • Good understanding of FERC regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrable experience in managing SAP FERC projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Certifications: SAP certification FICO

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until February 02, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $129,500.00 - $152,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
