Enterprise Planning's vision is to deliver our True North Strategy through the alignment and optimization of day-to-day operations with PG&E's long term strategic goals. The Enterprise Planning organization leads the company's end to end enterprise planning process, orchestrating from internal planning processes through external regulatory proceeding development.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Planning Design is a leader under the Enterprise Planning organization who leads the maturity of the Business Plan Deployment process and the deployment of enterprise planning tools and technology across the company. This role will work closely with Enterprise Strategy, the Propel End to End Planning team, Investment Planning and Asset Family owners across the company to improve how we plan as a company.

You will partner with cross functional leaders to improve how investments are prioritized across the company, how Functional Area planning processes integrate at the enterprise level, to improve the lean maturity of our planning process, and transition the Business Plan Deployment process to a technology solution that improves visibility, nimbleness, and interdependence.

The role is classified as hybrid (0-3 days per week in office), working primarily from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office to attend team meetings or as business needs require.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $144,000
Bay Area Maximum: $244,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops new processes and improvements of PG&E's end to end planning process, through lean maturity, value mapping, and problem solving
  • Leads the development of a value-based prioritization framework, to improve cross functional decision making
  • Determines, implements, and governs standards related to enterprise planning process
  • Implements technology solutions across the company to facilitate Business Plan Deployment and investment prioritization
  • Leads and influences staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Five years leading and developing teams
  • Four years of analytical experience (business, mathematics, statistics, engineering - based)

Desired:

  • Master's Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in Enterprise Planning or similar function at a large corporation
  • Process improvement and Lean experience
  • Utility, energy, or regulatory industry experience; broad knowledge of electric, gas, and generation utility construction, maintenance, resource planning, regulatory compliance, system inspections and safety best practices
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to effectively develop and deliver executive level presentation and articulate vision, goals, and strategies to internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge of project management and change management concepts and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration and influence with varying levels of employees and leaders
