General Job Description *The IT Trainer delivers information technology training to all FHCSD employees. Delivery of training will be in four main areas: Desktop Applications, FHCSD Practice Management Software (CMIS, EHR, Pharmacy and the LIS) and the functions they enable (e.g. Case Management), Policies & Procedures and Security/Privacy (Data Stewardship). Training may be provided in both classroom and in-clinic settings, for groups and for individuals. Duties also include performing technical writing (e.g. user guides) and documentation of systems. EXPERIENCED (LEVEL 3): Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. Job Roles *Assesses learner performance and competence. Monitors, evaluates and reviews the quality, effectiveness, and user satisfaction with training. Communicates learner experiences back to software developers for improvement. Continually seeks to improve training programs and processes to adapt to user needs. *Completes all required documentation and records accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards. Performs reporting and Quality Assurance as assigned. *Develops training materials and programs. Designs or identifies course materials (individual/class room/eLearning) and documentation to support users. Collaborates with assigned departments to complete training needs analysis and to develop training to address specific needs of a function and/or department. Establishes schedules and delivery of training to best meet the needs of learners. *Performs other duties as assigned. *Provides technical assistance as needed. *Trains end users in a variety of IT and/or Enterprise System related subjects, using a variety of methods (classroom, individual, eLearning, etc.). Train users in the proper use of the FHCSD software/IT infrastructure, processes, policies and procedures, and administrative data used in practice (such as ICD-9/10, SNOMED CT, Lexi-Comp, etc.). Develop staff to become more efficient through training/learning and reduce or eliminate manual efforts. Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations *2 years of experience in information systems and end user assistance. *Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Requires an active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance at $100,000, on vehicle used. No more than 2 points in past 12 months; No suspensions in last 2 years for moving violations; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 5 years. No license revocation in 7 years. *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. *Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements. Experience/Specialized skills (including Language) *Ability to clearly communicate computer concepts to users of all computer literacy levels, in order to effectively perform user assistance and training *Ability to cope and manage change, and to assist others in doing the same. *Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment. *Bilingual in English/ Spanish preferred. *Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. *Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with employees with a wide range of technology skills. *Knowledge of adult education techniques, practices, and tools, specifically related to technology training. *Knowledge of Internet technologies; Desktop Technology; Health Care Information Technologies. #INDIT In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits. 25.74 - 36.81If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
