Pharmacist

Full-Time I Second Shift

Hospital Pharmacy I Lexington, KY

The Department of Pharmacy Services of Baptist Health Lexington provides pharmaceutical services to patients across the continuum of care. These services include, but are not limited to verification of medication orders, drug distribution, sterile product preparation, hazardous drug preparation, and utilization of automated dispensing cabinets. In addition, decentralized pharmacists provide services such as management of pharmacy dosing consults, provision of drug information, therapeutic recommendations, and participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds.

Description for Pharmacist:

  • Monitors our compliance with charges for pharmacy waste.
  • Inventory with the Pharmacy Buyer and Director to reduce costs and expired drugs.
  • Staff Management, Education, and competency of Staff.
  • Quality improvement.
  • Strategic planning, Assists the DOP and clinical coordinator in implementing new programs specifically designed to meet the ASHP's Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative.

Requirements:

  • Pharm.D. with an ASHP Residency preferred.
  • Current Kentucky pharmacist license.
